Mission Statement

  1. Mission Statement
    1. We believe in our Constitution and our Bill of Rights. We want to protect our Constitutional Republic.
    1. We want to return honesty to the government.
    1. We are Centrists. We will be economically conservative and socially progressive.
    1. The three existential threats to our country and the world are
      1. Our National Debt.
      1. The Environment
      1. Donald Trump
    1. We want to work towards a balanced budget. We offer  common sense solutions to America problems.
      1. We want to reduce debt with commons sense solution like:
        1. Allow people on Welfare work. Our plan will reduce the budget by  $500 Billion and generate more taxes revenue from businesses by lowering their cost
        1. Make Health Savings accounts with prescription cards the primary form of medical insurance. Require that employees contribute the same amount the pay to their employer for medical insurance into a Health Savings account. This will reduce out budget by $300 Billion.
        1. Freeze the military budget and take back the $100 Billion increase, Make the Military use less expensive technologies to meet their needs such as  robots and drones.  They do not need more money. The need to use the money more efficiently.
      1. We want to simulate the economy by:
        1. Reducing the budget
        1. Lowering interest rates.
        1. Lowering taxes to the middle class.
        1. Increase taxes to the upper class in three tiers
        1. Increase taxes to businesses
    1. We believe in open trade but require a level playing field.
      1. We would do this by working with our partners around the world instead of alienating them, as Donald Trump has done.
      1. He is right that China and Europe should lower their tariffs. These tariffs were originally created to protect their infant industries. Their industries are now fully industrialized and are no longer in need of protection. Instead of Bullying them we should meet with them with our partners around the world including Europe, Canada Japan, South Korea and Australia and tell them we value them as a trading partner. We would like   them to lower their tariffs over a period of time like 5 years and agree to protect our intellectual property rights and allow us to file suit in the Court in the Hague if their corporations violate that agreement. If not, we will give our companies tax incentives to move their business elsewhere. In that way we do not adversely impact our supply chain, nor increase our cost of goods. We will accomplish our goal. Bullying them will not and has not worked. Also, they need the income from Tariffs to support their government.   By lowering tariffs, we will increase productivity by lowering the cost of goods. This will increase tax revenue to offset the income they lost by reducing and, or eliminating their tariffs.
    1. We believe our political system is broken.
      1. I believe that all people are inherently flawed. The book “The Undoing Project by Michael Lewis does a great job of proving that all our decisions are biased. It does not explain why we are so biased.
        1. I think this is a result of three different concepts.
          1. We are all still animals. I think our need to mate and procreate affects our decisions.
          1. I think Marshall Mcluens concept of “The Media is the Message” supercharges those drives.
          1. Third Pavlov’s concept of intermittent reinforcement also supercharges those feelings.
          1. As a result, we all want money, a beautiful home and fancy cars. This need causes some people to compromise their ethics.
          1.  I believe our need to procreate causes us to want to attract people who meet our sexual needs based on our sexual orientation. The Media shows us what that ideal person looks like. The girls have beautiful faces and figures. They all want the guy who is handsome, rich, has the fancy house and fancy car.

The guy knows he needs to have these things to get the beautiful girl.

  • This is especially true with many of our people in power like senators and congressmen.
    • When our Senators and Congressmen originally run for office, I think their intentions are pure. They want to help society. However, once they are in office they learn how much money they can earn by getting  laws passed to help their wealthy constituents. They also enjoy the power and attention. There are political groupies just like there are groupies for Rock Stars. They lose their moral compass to maintain their position and power. Power is just as important as looks, money, the fancy house and a fancy car.  They learn they have access to unlimited money by using the government as their personal checkbook to accumulate wealth and power. This costs us billions of dollars.
      • To maintain their position, they need money from outside sources. They learn that businesses will give them the money they need to maintain their position. They lose their moral compass.  Their job description is diametrically opposed to our country’s financial health and well-being. Our debt increased by over $1 trillion dollars under Reagan.  Trickledown economics has never worked. SuperPACs allow businesses to buy them off.  Allowing Senators and Congressmen to draft laws is insanity.
    • We need to eliminate SuperPacs. We need to limit how much each person contributes to a campaign and remove ways to get around this
    •  We need term limits
    • I do not believe a two-party system can work. We need three parties so that no one party can either pass laws or stop laws from being passed either as a minority or majority party. All parties need to negotiate to create laws that are representative of the will of all the people.
      • The government is a large ship. Big changes can be disruptive. Large entities need gradual, incremental change so that the people can masticate these changes.
      • Failure is part of the process. We need to see the impact of the changes to see where we are wrong. We need time to make corrections to get the desired outcome.  We need to make constant modifications to the plan. What I have learned through my life is that I often see the end zone, but I make a lot of false assumptions on how I will get there.
        • This is why Doge was a disaster and showed a complete lack of understanding of how to reduce costs and make changes successfully. You don’t want to “throw the baby out with the bathwater”. (Elon Musk also mishandled his takeover of Twitter).
      • We need to get rid of the Filibuster.
      • There is a point in time where the debt is so great that you can never pay it off. We are close to crossing that line and Donald Trump is exacerbating them.
      • Our economy has generally done better under Democratic administrations when compared to Republican administrations.  Democrats stimulate the middle class. When the upper class gets more money, they save it.  It does not change their lifestyle. If you increase taxes on the wealthy their lifestyle does not change. They have enough to support their lifestyle either way. When the middle class gets more money, they spend it and simulate the economy. This actually also helps the wealthy. Their businesses prosper.

h. My hope is that I can get my ideas into the mainstream, and we can create a movement to make change. This needs to be led by the younger generation. You are the ones who are inheriting our world. You are the ones that need to change our government so that it functions for you. You need to decrease the debt so you can live in a world like the one I grew up in where:

a. We respected our fellow Americans.

b.  Our courts protected our individual rights and due process

1. Where we did not pick up immigrants and send them to jail or deport them to another county without due process. We  allowed them to defend themselves in court.

2. We encouraged immigrants to come to our universities and bring us their ideas.

3.  We appreciated that immigrants come here for a better life and are willing to work hard to achieve that. Most of us are descendants of immigrants.

4. We had a Supreme Court that followed the Constitution and modified the laws so that they worked with our changing world. They did not go back 150 years to find archaic laws to justify bad decisions and bad policy.

5. We had a Congress that protected their institution, did not abdicate their responsibility and kept the President in check.

6. Neither Congress nor the Supreme Court is doing their job so I am afraid we have or will lose our democracy.

7. I want to reduce the Power of the Presidency and Congress.

8. I want to trust the Supreme Court to protect our rights under the constitution.

i.  need your support and ideas to accomplish this. Unlike Trump, I do not believe I am ever completely right. I always appreciate feedback and alternative ideas to find the right solution for complex problems.

My goal is to create a movement. If I can get enough followers, I would like to create a third party that supports our ideas. I would like to run candidates against the members of Congress that are on the far right with candidates that are centrists like I am. I believe if we can get 3 to 5 senators and 5 to 10 Congressmen, we can be the controlling votes in Congress. Over time we can make the changes that are required to fix our country.

If you like what I am saying, please go the TheCenterForwardParty.com and join our movement. We offer sensible solutions to America’s problems. I welcome your comments and suggestions. I will try to add videos every couple of days which will go into more detail about how we can accomplish our goals and make our country a better place for all of us.
