Iran

Trumps handling or Iran was ridiculous.

  • He threated Iran with dropping a bomb to destroy their nuclear facilities. That threat gave them time to move their nuclear material elsewhere. What president has ever telegraphed what he was thinking? Only a fool would do that.
  • He then dropped the bomb and said he totally obliterated their nuclear facilities before he got a report from his military people. When they said that he was wrong and that we had just slowed them down for about 3 months he tried to force them to agree with him.
  • He said that Iran agreed to a cease fire deal with Israel. No such agreement existed.
    • Subsequent to his telling us Iran and Israel had agreed to a cease fire the Ayatollah said he will never give up his nuclear capabilities.
  • He then said he had accomplished the goal to get rid of Iran’s nuclear arsenal and was done with this problem.
  • What is the real goal here? Isn’t it to get a long term agreement to stop Iran from producing nuclear material that gives us the right to inspect their nuclear facilities?
  • Telling Iran in advance that he is thinking of bombing their nuclear facilities giving them time to move their nuclear material is beyond stupid. Have you ever heard of any president telling an adversary in advance that he is thinking of bombing them? To say the nuclear facilities were obliterated when in fact he only slowed them down and then say he accomplished his goal when they still have nuclear capabilities is outrageous.
