- Genocide can no longer be tolerated. We must give the United Nations or another group like NATO the right to enforce this. IF we want to continue using the United Nations to accomplish this then it should only require a 70% vote of the inner council for the United Nations to defend those people who are subject to genocide in their country.
- I am not sure if the United Nations will ever be able to address these major issues that confront the world. I think it is a place to communicate your views which I do believe serves a purpose. It will never be useful in its current structure when one member of the inner circle can stop the United Nations from Acting such as in the war with Ukraine. “ if any one of the five permanent members cast a negative vote in the 15-member Security Council, the resolution or decision will not be approved.
- NATO appears to be more relevant and has a greater chance of addressing these issues. I would like to add countries in the far east like Japan, Taiwan, South Korea and Australia to this organization. We can look into other existing organizations and see if they can accomplish the same goal.
